Associate Specialist Personal Trainer

Role Overview
This role involves supporting clients in their rehabilitation journey, creating tailored exercise plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations to understand clients' physical abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation goals.
- Design and deliver personalised exercise programmes to improve mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.
- Provide guidance and adapt exercises to suit clients' progress and unique challenges.
- Collaborate with neurophysiotherapists, occupational therapists, and others to ensure a cohesive approach.
- Educate and motivate clients on the benefits of rehabilitation-focused exercise.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and adhere to confidentiality regulations.
Requirements
- Level 3 Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor certification (e.g., CIMSPA, NRPT).
- Level 4 qualification in a related field (e.g. Exercise Referral, Exercise for Long Term Neurological Conditions - desirable).
- Experience working with individuals recovering from neurological conditions, disabilities, or traumatic injuries (minimum one year preferred).
- Strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise principles for rehabilitation.
- Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake training in brain injury
rehabilitation provided by Optima PT.
- The role is mobile, so a full driving licence is required to cover a designated area.
